Graphic Designer: The Smart Station
Based on past experiences with a fixed website Gaynor at The Smart Station knew she wanted control of her own site but, as a graphic designer, had firm views on what was fit to be called a designer's website!
Much of her work is document based and this is reflected in the strongly typographical look of the website.

Complementary Therapist: Restore
Restore was a new venture by an ex nurse and health visitor turned complementary therapist who wanted a contemporary and professional image for her business. The project was a collaboration with Sheffield design and print house, Das Grafik, who created the striking logo and matching printed materials. The site features Windows-7-like translucent panels and drop down navigation.

Cars: Coventry Mazda
Combining four websites into one stretched our content management system a little but the advantage of working with your own software is that you know how to stretch it and far it will go!
This site links to a nationwide used car database and includes message routing to departments across two sites in Coventry and Leamington Spa.

Distributor: Whelan Footwear
When Whelan Footwear was let down their business advisor came to Abbeydale with a brief that called for a clean contemporary design, product photography and a schedule tighter than a pair of new shoes!
We think you'll agree that we rose to the challenge, Jeanette producing some striking images and Mike coming up with an almost addictive stockist locator.

Tiara Photography
Wedding photography needs a strong contemporary design without losing that friendly personal touch. Chatty, conversational text helps (people AND search engines) and an 'out-takes gallery' of silly wedding day moments adds to the sense of fun.
This is Jeanette's wedding photography website so she let her imagination run free while Mike had to turn the result into a working website.

Brownes Hair
This site for Browne's in Sheffield coincided with the refurbishment of the salon and was designed to showcase the stylish yet relaxed atmosphere there. Photography by Abbeydale was mixed with supplier's promotional materials.
The site was updated in 2010 when the salon was refurbished again.

Office Help: Love Paperwork
This site for a Sheffield based office angel was a colaboration with The Smart Station who produced the logo and brand design and offers a wealth of knowledge about running a small business - from first setting up as self-employed to running a payroll.

Entertainment: DJ & Karaoke
Bruno built his own website some years ago and liked the freedom to keep it updated himself. Our content management system let him keep that control while also having a search engine friendly website that people could actually find!
Includes photography by Abbeydale and by Bruno himself, along with some admittedly amateur but very atmospheric video clips.

Finance: Care Fees First
Financial management sites need scrupulous attention to detail and rigorous proof reading - usually by a third party knowledgeable in the ways of the FSA. This site for a Chesterfield specialist manages to keep a cheerful look while talking about serious matters.

Electrician: ATa Electrical
ATa Electrical had an existing website, possibly built by Noah but well established on page 1 of Google's search results. The challenge was to make sure the new website stayed their. We achieved that and received a glowing testimonial from the proprietor for our troubles.

Finance: Share Trading
Securequity, a Sheffield share trading company, wanted control over their own website but also wanted a few original bells and whistles too. We embedded a real time city stock price widget and a novel world time indicator into our content management system to give this contemporary site some eye catching content.
We don't do templates! Every one of our websites is individually designed to meet individual requirements.

Just one word of caution - some of these sites are content managed and updated by their owners. While we do keep an eye on them and fix up the odd mistake we can't guarantee they'll be in perfect condition and free of typos when you visit them!
