Wouldn't it be great if you could put your hands into a website and touch things before you buy - feel them, squeeze them, toss them from hand to hand.  But you can't - not yet anyway - so you have to be content just to look.

But good photographs look almost as if you can feel the subject - showing the texture and shape, depth and solidity.  The word photography means writing with light and light is the key.  The difference between a snapshot and a photograph isn't in the cost of the camera but in the way the photographer uses light.
